Aluminum pergola vs. wood or vinyl — why aluminum?
Wood pergolas in our climate need re-staining every couple of years and still crack and twist; vinyl yellows and gets brittle in UV. Embossed aluminum gives you the wood look with a baked-on finish, engineered strength, and no maintenance beyond an occasional rinse.
Can a pergola stand alone away from the house?
Yes. Freestanding pergolas over a spa, fire pit, garden pad or outdoor kitchen are a large share of what we build. Footings are poured to suit the structure and soil, so it stands plumb for the long term.
Can I add shade or privacy to a pergola later?
Yes — lattice panels, privacy walls and roll-down shade screens can be added to most of our pergolas after the fact. If you are considering them, say so up front and we will size the frame accordingly.
Do pergolas require a permit in Weatherford?
