Solid & Insulated Patio Covers in Weatherford, TX

Full sun and rain protection — the cover that turns a patio into an outdoor room.

When you want to sit outside during a July heatwave or a spring downpour, filtered shade isn't enough. A solid cover gives you a real roof over your patio: total shade, dry furniture, and a place for the ceiling fan that changes everything in a Texas summer. It's the difference between a patio you look at and a patio you live on.

Standard solid vs. insulated panels

We install both. The standard Alumawood® solid cover is a clean, strong aluminum roof that handles sun and rain at the best price. The insulated version sandwiches a foam core between two finished skins — it blocks radiant heat so the space under it stays noticeably cooler, deadens rain to a murmur, spans wider with fewer posts, and carries fans and lighting without extra framing. If you plan to use the space daily, insulated is usually worth the difference, and we'll show you both numbers.

What a solid cover costs

Measured quotes only, but honest ballparks: standard solid covers here typically run $5,000–$12,000, and insulated covers $7,500–$18,000+, driven by size, spans, electrical and permit scope. A firm written number comes after the free on-site measure.

The Equinox® option: a roof that opens

As an authorized Equinox® dealer we also install louvered roofs — motorized aluminum louvers that pivot from full sun to full shade to a sealed rain roof at the touch of a remote. It's the premium answer when you can't decide between pergola and solid cover, because it's both. Ask to see it when we quote.

Solid Cover Questions

What is the difference between a standard solid cover and an insulated cover?

A standard solid cover is a single-skin aluminum roof pan that blocks sun and rain. An insulated cover uses a foam-core roof panel that also blocks radiant heat, quiets rain noise dramatically, and is strong enough to hang ceiling fans and span longer distances with fewer posts.

Can you put a ceiling fan and lights on a solid cover?

Yes. Insulated roof panels take fan mounts and recessed lighting cleanly, and we rout wiring channels through the panels so you see finished ceiling, not conduit. Tell us at the quote stage so the structure and circuits are planned together.

Will a solid cover make my living room darker?

It can if it is designed carelessly. We factor in the rooms behind the cover and can include skylights or a lattice transition section at the outer edge to keep light coming in.

How long does installation take?

Most solid and insulated covers are installed in one to three days on site once materials arrive, plus permit time where the city requires one. We handle the permit paperwork.
